Abraham Rempel

Identifying myself is not something that I am very keen to do... perhaps because there isn't much to identify. I have never held any position of note in a Christian church and never attended a seminary... until recently to study Hebrew. I do have a degree in Classical Studies from Brock University. My wife Barbara and I have two children. I am a retired financial planner, a Canadian, and was born in 1945. My legal name is Rudy Abraham Rempel.

I have spent many years studying the Scriptures privately and intensely. This came to me in three distinct periods, and curiously they came about sixteen years apart. I first began to study the Scriptures 1970 when I started to believe as an adult. Another period of intensive study began in 1986, and the third in about 2002. In hindsight, I believe the Father was giving me three chances to know Him and to walk in His ways.

My religious upbringing is Mennonite Brethren, or more broadly, Anabaptist. Both my parents were born in Russia, and I have accepted what my believing mother once told me, that I have been “given to missions". As a “missionary” to my own people, I have collected a data base of direct-mail and e-mail addresses, and established the web site www.mennoniteisrael.org. My people are so genuine in their beliefs, but they do not know that they are Israelites or that their covenant with Yahuah (the Father) has been renewed. I have taken Yirmeyahu-Jeremiah 16:16 in it's context as my commission.

My conclusion from studying the Scriptures is that our salvation is corporal as well as spiritual. Yahuah has dwelt among us in the past, and will dwell with us again in the future, and through Yeshua haMashiach (the Messiah) He will establish His government upon this earth. This government is spoken of by Moshe and the prophets, central to the teachings of Yeshua, and confirmed by the Renewed Covenant Scriptures. Hence, we are admonished to pray, "May Thy kingdom come, may Thy will be done on earth as it is in heaven."

In my MI papers, I am addressing the House of Israel of which the Mennonite people are a significant part. The "you" in my terminology is not intended to be personal, but includes all of those, and myself, who have been unfaithful to our Elohim even though He has been entirely faithful to us. It is in our time that the prophecies, most notably Yehezqel-Ezekiel 37, regarding the regathering of the ten tribes and their reunion with the tribe of Yahudah are beginning to be fulfilled.

My message is plain enough; it is to "repent for the kingdom of heaven is at hand." Repentance involves recognizing that we are indeed the literal seed of Abraham and that we must return to the commandments of our Elohim through Yeshua the Messiah. As Israelites, the heart of stone that we have has not yet been turned to a heart of flesh. To this day we still want to worship like the nations and think somehow because of our sincerity that it is not in vain. The passage in Colossians is saying, "Don't let anyone except the assembly judge you for keeping the Sabbath or a Festival or in not eating unclean food, because these are an outline of the things to come which is Messiah". As Yeshua has said, "If you love Me, keep My commandments."

Finally, and above all that's important, Yahuah, the Elohim of Israel has loved us with an everlasting love. He has not replaced us as His chosen people with "the church" or any other group. From the time He took us out of Mitsrayim-Egypt and gave us His commandments at Sinai, He has never ceased to love Israel. There is no shadow of turning in our Elohim. His love is the same yesterday, today and forever."
